I am originally from Moscow, Russia, my husband and I came to Kitchener, Ontario in August 2008. Ontario nature and surroundings are extremely beautiful and I am trying to express this beauty in my paintings.
What concerns my biography, it is not something special. As some people have a graphomaniac itch, as I have a thirst for painting. I did enjoy it since childhood but never got any formal education. Though in 2005 I graduated from an Interior Design Course based at Moscow State Academic Art College Named in Memory of 1905. We had excellent teachers there especially on colors and perspective drawing. Exactly after the course I took again a brush and paint in hands. Since that I can’t stop.
What concerns my previous working experience it is very similar to many other people. I spared 6 years in Moscow Power Engineering Institute; I worked as an executive assistant/interpreter/office administrator for some firms including a very famous one; worked as a software testing specialist; in my quest for inspiration I tried to become a photo model and a movie actress, a self-employed interior designer, kitchen interior designer, horse groom and horse trainer…
Finally I am back to painting as the most creative activity, because I perceive the world through colors and do love to express myself also through colors!
The summer of 2009 by the courtesy of Inga Rinne many of my paintings were displayed at the office of SmithValeriote Law Firm LLP, and three of my paintings were sold.
On November 20-22, 2009 I participated in Globe Studios Art Show And Sale and sold one painting.
